Welcome to the extraordinary destination of TuKAS 221! The name is a fusion of the Spanish word "Tu" (meaning "your") and the Papiamentu word "Kas" (meaning "house" or "home"). We have carefully designed these two spaces to offer you a truly unique experience, ensuring you can fully relax and enjoy your stay in Curaçao.

Hello, Travelers!

I'm Carlos Ortega, a Venezuelan graphic designer who has been living on this beautiful island since 2000. I'm a proud father of three amazing daughters and have been happily married to the incredible woman by my side in the photo for nearly 30 years.

During the height of the pandemic, my former business partner suggested selling the portfolio of websites we had meticulously built over 16 years and closing our agency—and that’s exactly what we did! This marked the beginning of a new chapter in my life—the birth of TuKAS 221, the first project to emerge from that transition.

With the unwavering support of my wife, who is also a talented designer, we transformed an unused area of our home into a thoughtfully curated vacation retreat on the enchanting island of Curaçao. Thanks to the wonderful experience we had with TuKas 1, we were inspired to take part of our backyard and create a new space for outdoor lifestyle lovers—TuKas 2.
